Suppose you're afraid.Someone say to you, "Don't afraid! It's safe." Other guy says, "Be afraid! It'a really dangerous." which is correct? Which should you believe? Important point is, "checking."

On the net. Atom. Electron. Behaviors of atoms and molecules.Chemical reaction. No effect to atoms. But radiation releted change is different.

27/01/2013 11:45:35 WIB
hiroki @hirokiharoki

Nucleus.Stable o9nes and unstable ones.Split of atom.Radiation.alpha rays, beta, and gamma rays.alpha and beta can be stopped by matters.

27/01/2013 11:49:07 WIB
hiroki @hirokiharoki

Gamma ray penetrate matter. Radioactive materials.cesium. cesium133,potassium39 are. Not radioactive. Not all the cesiums are radioactive.

What is Bq? 1Bq:radioactive material once breaks at 1sec,average. So, same Bq shows almost same amount of radiation. But not with weight.

27/01/2013 11:54:33 WIB
hiroki @hirokiharoki

Bq is a unit of, radiation amount. We mostly use Bq/kg, som.etimes Bq/Body. Caractaristics of radioactive materials.

27/01/2013 11:56:09 WIB
hiroki @hirokiharoki

Natural radioactive materials;K40,Radon222.artificially made ones;cesium137,plutonium.Energy behavir is same.EnergyStrengh are bit different

About WholeBodyCounter. Human have 60bq/kg radioactive K;possium. All Beta ray accumulated by body.Cannot check it. Gamma ray penetrate some

27/01/2013 12:01:19 WIB
hiroki @hirokiharoki

WBC checks the penetrated gamma ray from the human body. Helth effect to human body. External exposure/internal expos6ure.

27/01/2013 12:02:34 WIB
hiroki @hirokiharoki

Sv. mSv. Unit Shows about the damages to vhuman body. Effective dose/year. External effective dose is checked by dose meter.

0.25SV decrase of white blood cell. 1SV:cause nausea.10SV. DNA.radiation can cut DNA. But need to know cut DNA was often happen without rad

27/01/2013 12:08:09 WIB

With 10Sv exposure, many people dies, with too many DNA rupture. Unable to repair DNA in that situation.
