Manchester City will get a tough challenge in the second week of EPL this season. The defending champion will entertain one of EPL's strong teams, Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday (17/8) night tomorrow.
As a defensive champion, Manchester City prepares for a good fit. They only lost one time, where they also won the Community Shield Trophy by beating Liverpool through the penalty shootout.
With that good self-confidence, City started the Premier League season 2019/2020 with maximum results. They repulsed West Ham with a 5-0 landslide score in the first weekend match. With this positive capital, The Citizens hope to continue this momentum.
But in the second week they face a big match party. They have to deal with one of the champion candidates for the season, Tottenham.
City did have an unfinished affair with the North London team. They failed to win The Champions league last season thanks to The Lillywhites so The foster son Pep Guardiola wanted to make calculations with Tottenham.
But the current Tottenham will be a tough opponent for the City. Mauricio Pochettino's team brought a number of qualified players to North London who were believed to be increasingly heavier opponents.
Tottenham also has a number of positive outcomes against the City. They won 3-1 against Aston Villa so they wouldn't be afraid to go to the Etihad Stadium.
In this game, Pep Guardiola can bring down the composition of their best teams. Only Leroy Sane the only Penggawa City that can not play in this game.
PEP will most likely change the line arrangement slightly. Sergio Aguero which was proposed in the first game will be the starter in the fight, assisted by the nimble winger, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez. In The defensive line, The duet of Aymeric Laporte and John Stones will still be entrusted with The control of Ederson as The last doorway of The Citizens.
At the guest team's stronghold, Pochettino came to the Etihad Stadium with a limp leg. Dele Alli was certainly absent because of an injury, Son Heung-Min still had a suspension and two of their new recruits of Juan Foyth and Ryan Sessegnon also had to be absent in this fight.
Pochettino will most likely not change the order of Tottenham players. Harry Kane will be installed as the spearhead, where Christian Eriksen will be a ball-canning. In midfield Harry Winks will duet with Tanguy Ndombele while their goal will be governed by Hugo Lloris.
