Avoid going out for drinks. It’s no more a tenable proposition in this city. House parties are more fun.

There’re some great (and open) institutions in Bombay – performance spaces, libraries, art galleries, colleges, etc. Make use of them.

Watch films & talk films. You’re in Bollywood! (Tell people you’re writing a feature film script. 99 out of 100 don’t get made anyway.)

If you’re a tenant, don’t let the housing society office-bearers bully you.
