Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
Yay, someone blocked me because I don't think the USA is the best thing since sliced bread. God I love my job. ^_^

@timeoutcorner lol..a lot of people "WANT" others to exercise the "FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION", but when they do "OTHERS" get offended ..
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia Or, in other words, you have the freedom to express what I expect you to say. ;)
Mayssia (May) Elajami - Toronto Lawyer @Mayssia
@timeoutcorner of course you have the right to express..what I see it as..ppl are hot and cold with what they want this leads to chaos
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia Sigh... yes. The freedom of expression run rampant is merely chaos, methinks. Some 'boundaries' help keep things civil. :P
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia There are always boundaries on 'full freedom'. It's part of being civilised. :)
Mayssia (May) Elajami - Toronto Lawyer @Mayssia
@timeoutcorner no..lol..being civilized is knowing you have a brain and can think on your own...it's not about being a puppet to someone
Mayssia (May) Elajami - Toronto Lawyer @Mayssia
@timeoutcorner .. who has different ideals about how you are supposed to live eh! If no one likes what I say or do they can close their ears
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia That's being rational and clear-thinking. The structures which give one those abilities are boundaries. Else we're animals. :)
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia That's completely agreeable, but many will attempt to stop your lips, not close their ears. Must be prevented; a boundary. :)
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia Certainly. We have codes of behaviour, of right & wrong. Laws, regulations, ethics, morals.
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia By becoming a functional human being, we are formed & moulded. Hence, boundaries are placed on our actions.
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia I hope that makes my thoughts clear. :)
Mayssia (May) Elajami - Toronto Lawyer @Mayssia
@timeoutcorner but "who" place these boundaries..and what you define what you define as "codes of behavior" is not how other ppl define it
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia Communities place these boundaries by a person growing up within them. It's called socialisation in Anthropology. :)
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia My ethics are built consciously from the ground up. However, all have at least unconscious ethics of behaviour.
Mayssia (May) Elajami - Toronto Lawyer @Mayssia
@timeoutcorner ...we are moulded by who though? someone else..which tells us how we are supposed to live?
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia Yes, very much so. We are social beings, we are formed and moulded by our society. By entire community, not a person/persons.
Mayssia (May) Elajami - Toronto Lawyer @Mayssia
@timeoutcorner umm I think I know what it is called...but why do we have to be what others expect us to be? RIGHT when we step out of that..
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia Ahhh! We don't have to be what others expect in particular. We are, however, generally what we were raised to be.
Mayssia (May) Elajami - Toronto Lawyer @Mayssia
@timeoutcorner ...and create our own identity what is that referred too than?..or how are we seen than right?
Red Seeker @timeoutcorner
@Mayssia That is indeed possible, and admirable IMO. It shouldn't be toward the gratification of whims, though. Responsibility needed. :)
Mayssia (May) Elajami - Toronto Lawyer @Mayssia
@timeoutcorner NO we are not! I think that our parents raise us to a certain age.. and then we go from there to create or own identity based
