'On this Eid, it is a challenge to celebrate'

Archived here are @Abou_Charlie's serial tweets on the Eid day, 27/28 July 2014. At the end, I added @Flistini's tweets from Gaza on how he and his family celebrate this Eid in Gaza. Even though I don't have a particular religious faith (I'm a non-practising Buddhist in Japan), Eid Mubarak to everyone who celebrate it. Have a lot of yummy food and be happy. (^^)

Wage BEAUTY @wagebeauty
There are certain phrases that in linguistics and logic make no sense. Example: an aggressor claiming the right to self defense.
dara @daaraaa
Dont be blinded to the pile of evidence against israel by the lies they put on the media. Search the truth, u can always find it. #Gaza
Adam @Abou_Charlie
Seems like chicago is the capital of Palestinian solidarity in the US.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
The Resistance is fully within its right to reject any ceasefire its doesn't agree too.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
Even with all the destruction, Israel has failed to destroy Palestinian resistance.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
At a rally in Boston yday a man brought Bashar Al Assad's flag. I asked him not to raise it. Our cause will not be used to cover oppression
Adam @Abou_Charlie
How many Syrians were killed in the name of the resistance? Where is the resistance now that Gaza is under attack? Very telling.
Widgitt @Widgitt
I look forward to the day that these protests are not a photo-op for the selfie-enthusiasts
Danna Fakhoury-Neda @dannadano
@Widgitt those words are so real. Sort of the way people take smiling pictures by the apartheid wall.
Danna Fakhoury-Neda @dannadano
@Widgitt I sound like a hater. But I will never understand the photo-ops people take
Adam @Abou_Charlie
@dannadano @Widgitt Lets looks forward to the day when there are no protests to take selfies at. Selfies will outlive zionism
When Eid becomes "a challenge to celebrate".
Adam @Abou_Charlie
On this Eid it is a challenge to celebrate. Truly, a struggle.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
ow could I possibly derive any happiness on this day when my people in Gaza are being bombed mercilessly as we speak?
Adam @Abou_Charlie
Many people seem to have come to the conclusion that this year there is no Eid.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
I entirely understand these sentiments. I have even felt this way myself over the course of the past 2 weeks.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
Since the Zionist colonization of Palestine began, Zionist forces have tirelessly worked for making the life of the Palestinian unbearable
Adam @Abou_Charlie
so unbearable, that she would either leave her land or face death at the hands of her oppressor.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
The Zionists were successful in stealing land, perverting history and claiming a culture they had no connection to.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
But the greatest triumph of the Palestinian cause is that regardless of their brutality and barbarism...
Adam @Abou_Charlie
The Zionists have never come close to breaking the Palestinian spirit.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
I will not be the first Palestinian to reverse this trend.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
I flew out of Boston yesterday morning to join my family for Eid.
Adam @Abou_Charlie
My connecting flight in Atlanta had technical issues, and I was forced to spend a night in Atlanta.
